The location will be sent out to registered participants a few days prior to the program. Prior Safe Zone Training is required, either from the USA or from another institution.
Safe Zone is one aspect of an ongoing effort make the USA campus a safer place for LGBTQ students. The goal of the advanced Safe Zone training is to expand knowledge and skills to be an ally for LGBTQ students, as well as to provide opportunities to become a Safe Zone facilitator. Facilitators and participants are not necessarily LGBTQ; they may be simply people who wish to serve as allies and to offer support and create a positive environment.
The training maximum 20 participants, so please be sure to register as soon as possible. Please direct any questions about the Safe Zone training to Dr. Krista Harrell at firstname.lastname@example.org. The advanced Safe Zone training is offered once a semester.
