A significant trend in higher education and for desired skills in the workplace is the use of collaborative projects and the leverage of emerging tools foster its success. In your courses, regardless of whether or not they are blended, on campus, or fully online, students working in teams to accomplish common goals and produce shared projects can maximize the power of Google apps. USA provides a suite of Google apps to help your students and you build collaborative projects that integrate nicely within USAonline. A number of universities across the United States and the world have reduced time and cost with the integration of Google apps and have also seen increases in student learning and performance. You can view a number of these cases on Google Apps in Education page here: https://www.google.com/edu/case-studies/
In this workshop, we’ll explore Google Drive (with docs, sheets and slides), specialized searches and alerts, Google Forms to collect feedback and to conduct surveys, and how to embed these Google functions into USAonline.
