Quizlet is an online learning tool that lets users create “sets” of terms that are customizable for their content-specific learning need. The sets of terms can be studied as learners interact with them in various forms such as flash cards, entering terms and definitions, and other game modes that test the student’s knowledge of the terms. Quizlet Live is a feature that allows faculty to use these sets for group activities and engagement within live classroom sessions. There is a mobile app that allows students to access and study materials from your course on their mobile device no matter where they are. The act of students creating their own notes and sets as well as participating in active learning strategies has been shown to increase the overall quality of the learning environment and experience.
At this workshop, you will learn how to use Quizlet in your online and/or on-campus class to help students build their foundational knowledge about your topic area!
