Game Based Assessment and Learning

Elizabeth Sessions, South Alabama Resaerch and Inservice Center, University of South Alabama

Game-based learning is an enormously powerful strategy that will engage students in active learning. As educators realize this it will allow us to design better games and create new learning opportunities for those students raised in our digital world. Join us as we look at some of the latest practical applications in the classroom gaming world and see how “gamifying” our classroom can transform learning. Participants will explore using games to deliver content and test/play some game based assessments. Take back some great strategies for embedding digital quizzes, polls, and open-ended questions into your presentations, websites and more.
